What is Mohanjodaro - 
Mohanjodaro is the word of sindhi language, which means "Murdo's Mound". it is believed that mohanjodaro is 4600 years old. This city was founded in 26-25th century BCE and This city was destruction in 19th century BCE. Mohanjodaro was the oldest city of Indus valley civilization. It was discovered in 1922 by Rakkaldsas Banerjee.which is spread over 12 lakh sq km area of ??present day Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. The residents of Hadappa  had used the grid system for the construction of houses and cities. Here are the remains of large houses, broad roads and many wells. The shape and texture of this city was very good, here was an advanced system of water drain. More than 35000 people lived in this city. This city was extremely modern according to ancient times!

Who discovered the Mohanjodaro - 
In 1856, an English engineer had searched for Mohenjodaro while making the railroad. While making the railroad track, the engineer was evacuating the stones so he could break the stones and make the balance, at that point he found an exceptionally solid and old thing here, which was actually similar to the present Brick in observing. The man there revealed to him that every one of the houses here are made of a similar Brick that they get in the removal. At that point the engineer comprehended that this city is associated with ancient history. This engineer first came to know about 'Indus Civilization' settled near the Indus Valley.

How was mohanjodaro - 
This ancient city was very beautiful to look! The house of Mohan Jodardo was extremely superb! Seeing the homes here, it did not seem that these houses were made in ancient times! The houses here were very luxurious! In the construction of the buildings here, both crude and fixed bricks were used! 8 rooms are also found in the houses of the Mohojodaro! Here used to be home on both sides of the road! There were bathrooms and toilets in every house, and every house used to be connected to the drains, so that the dirty water could reach the big drains! High attention was paid to the water exit in this city! In Mohenjodaro, wells are also seen which used to be in the courtyard of the house, there were about 700 wells in Mohenjodaro! This town used to have wide roads, which cut each other at right angles! There were drains on the side of every road in this city! This shows that the people of this city had paid a lot of attention to cleanliness! At that time, the distant traders used to come here to do their own business! All around of this city Fortification was done to avoid the natural calamities like floods!

Social life of Mohanjodaro -
1.) Dancing in Mohenjodaro the remains of women statues are also seen here! From which it can be estimated that people of that time used to dance too! And perhaps dance was the main means of his entertainment.

2.) The people here also knew about agriculture, in agriculture they used to grow crops such as wheat and barley, and food grains were also made to collect grains in which grains were collected and farming was the main work of the people here.

3.) Most of the people here were non-vegetarian, so the people here used to hunt and also catch fish!

4.) People of Mohenjodaro used to trade too! People from abroad used to come here to trade! Exotic traders mostly used to come in Mohanjodaro from waterway! People of Mohan Jodro used to trade with barter system! barter system mean that means that by not giving money to buy something, by giving him other something else buy that item or By giving a baggage Buy second stuff!

5.) Some of the evidence related to education also received here gives information related to the education system.Here the people of the scholars class used to be! Those who used to provide education to the people! Mohanjodaro's script was so difficult that no one has understood this script so far!

6.) On that time People used to do animal husbandry too! Based on the remains, it can be assumed that people of that time used cow, buffalo, goat, pigs and dogs etc. for Animal husbandry

7.) During the excavation, the archaeological department got a Shiva Linga which is approximately 5000 years old. This shows that peoples of here used to worship puja! According to the remains, people used to worship Lord Pashupatinath!

Tools of Mohanjodaro - 
Mohenjodaro's tools used to be made of stone and copper! The people these stones tools used to hunted animals also! The main tools made from stone was stone chalk, potted flags, etc. Copper tools - the chin, the tip of the spear, etc.! Some of the tools that were already used to be edgy, From these tools, the people used to hunt animals! And they had been using these tools in his other daily work!

Where is Mohanjodaro Museum -
Even today there is an exhibition hall of things gathered by Mohan Jodaro in Karachi, Lahore, Delhi and London. This accumulation contains darkened wheat, copper and bronze utensils, seals, instruments, immense pots made on chalk, dark brown artworks on them, adjusted pots, lights, measure-loads, stone, copper reflect, mud Bullock trucks and different toys etc. many more things. Such items can be see in these museums.



After all, the city that had developed very well and which had all the facilities available was destroyed. The reason for the downfall of the Indus Valley Civilization has not been properly known till date, however, researchers say that the reason for this was Severe flooding.
